This is to warn men about the most devious and corrupt website I have come across yet which is www.getmarriednow.com.
Be VERY CAREFUL of this website which is DELIBERATELY DESIGNED to MISLEAD and TAKE MONEY off unsuspecting men and has MANY LADIES who are NOT VALID MEMBERS.
On this website they make many promises including:
[a] “You will find over 2,000 of the world's most beautiful women, each of whom is looking for a loving and sincere man that will offer them a committed relationship and secure home. Over 2000 beautiful women are available in streaming video online for as little as $.23 per address! “
[b] “Offers a choice of 5 separate Membership Packages ranging from four monthly payments of $59.95 to four monthly payments of $29.95*. “ If you enroll in our agency you will be able to try our service for a Full-Year” “When you join you get a lifetime membership. You stay enrolled as a client until you tell us you no longer want to be a member, or until you get married. We work with you until you achieve success!”
[c] “Our 100% Money Back Guarantee” “We guarantee our service with the best no-nonsense guarantee in the business. If you enroll in our agency you will be able to try our service for a Full-Year. If you do not become engaged or married within your one year of membership you get a full 100% refund!. No other agency can come close to our guarantee - a full year of service with a 100% money back offer if you do not become engaged or married while using our service!”

This sounded too good to be true but before joining I decided to query and confirm with the manager Marina of getmarriednow.com about there being no extra charges. She replied:
“If you decide to join you will instantly have access to all of our ladies and to our Kherson office managers. We do not charge extra for meeting ladies”
With this assurance from Marina I decided to join with a Gold membership of $49.95 payable over four months which I believed was for a membership of one year. This gave me access to all ladies contact details and videos or so I believed.
On joining I looked at the website and immediately was disappointed. Many of the Kherson ladies did not have videos to watch which was one of the key reasons I thought I’d join. Nonetheless I made out a list of 80 ladies that may have been attractive [difficult to tell from only one photo on the website] and flew to Kherson. I had been to Kherson before and knew how to arrange my own accomodation.
When I emailed the Kherson office about them arranging me to meet ladies I found that the office did in fact charge extra fees to meet ladies!
“Our web site provides a great deal of service but if you want additional services the offices need to charge some small fees in order to remian viable”
So it was a downright lie from Marina when she said that they did not charge extra for meeting ladies.
I was not so worried at this point as I had been to Kherson a couple of times before and knew interpretors already in Kherson who were registered translators. I knew they would be able to help me contact and meet all these ladies which I already had their addresses and phone numbers. And what should I be worried about because the agency guaranteed these ladies were wanting to meet men.
On arriving in Kherson I first used a registered interpreter who was with another agency Kherson Girls to contact the ladies that I had prioritised on my list as ones I wanted to meet. As she worked down my list of first 20 girls then another 30 girls she was amazed:
She found many ladies on my list in the Kherson office: - were already married and in fact had been married for over 6 months [many to ukrainian men not foreigners] and should not have been still listed on the database - had invalid phone numbers or addresses - did not want to be part of this agency anymore and did not want to meet anyone - had been sucked into joining under pressure from their friends and were not serious about marriage
Out of the initial list I gave her she was not able to make a single date. I couldn’t believe it so I got one of my friends who is also a registered translator to go through and ring the numbers again. She is a persuasive lady and very nice but she also confirmed the Kherson Girls interpretors story. However she was able to get 4 dates for me out of the first 50 girls I’d prioritised.
However I soon found strange things about getmarriednow from the four dates. Of the four dates one of the girls turned out to be only 17yrs old instead of 19yrs old as advertised on the getmarriednow website so getmarriednow does not obviously check the ladies passports before putting their details down which is not professional. Another 2 ladies met me who were about 20yrs old and pretty soon it became obvious that they were only meeting me because they wanted to ask money from me. Asking around the other agencies and friends I soon found out that they were well known “professional scammers”. And the last lady met me but explained as soon as we meet that she wasn’t interested in marriage because she was only 19yrs old and had 2 more years of university and she was just interested in meeting me to practise her english!
So out of the first 50 girls I got zero result and only further bad views about this agency.
I also saw a picture of a lady on the getmarriednow website who was actually my friend from 2 years ago. I contacted her and asked her why she was on the website. She said that she'd been conned into joining along with a lot of her other friends and other girls. Apparently the agency got some girls [with the promise that the agency would give them priority listing on your site] to bring a lot of their friends along without them knowing that they were going to be photographed or filmed at a marriage agency. Once these girls arrived at the agency they only got photographed or filmed because their friend persuaded them to do it on behalf of her to help her out. My friend told me that probably many of the girls on the getmarriednow site didn't even want to be on the site.
Astonished at these proceedings I tried to get in contact with their office at the number they had given but there was no answer.
Frustrated I gave up with getmarriednow. I was already seeing many girls by this time through other agencies and had already met a couple of nice ladies I was dating regularly.
When I arrived back home I decided to write my concerns to Marina and ask for my money back. She did not believe my concerns instead replying:
“Most all the girls do not trust men calling them outside the office manager - especially having a "friend" call them for another man. This is highly unusual. It seems you did not want to spend $30 or $50 to have Helen our office manager help you meet dozens of the ladies you wanted too...and instead tried to do it on the cheap on your own.”
This is an incredible answer! The getmarriednow site sells contact names and addresses of ladies who they advertise as wanting to meet men. Marina has admitted in her reply that in fact the ladies have not only NOT given permission for the website to give out their contact information to men but in fact most do not want to be contacted directly. This is not only devious but downright unethical.
After receiving no sympathy from Marina I searched the internet for comments from other people dissatisfied with getmarriednow and quickly found on: http://s-2000.com/cgi-bin/links/reviewit.pl?do=new&id=4003
“On their webpage it clearly states that you will get unlimited emails when purchasing their Express Email service or a Platinum membership (about $240.00usd) After you purchase this and start emailing women then they send you a request for more money ($50) a month to continue communicating to only 4 women! No where on the site does it say this when you are purchasing the membership!!! In fact it says it is supposed to be free and unlimited!! They try to gain your sympathy too stating how difficult the economic situation is in Ukraine and how there are only two people translating the letters so this is why they are charging the fees. It's just totally deceptive. Also watch out for overbilling! My receipt stated that I would be billed four times from SAC Online at $59.95 each time. After the four charges however I started getting charges from Ibillcs.com! They kept doing it over and over, I'm now out over $200.00, my credit card company claims they can't do anything to recover this and of course my queries to getmarriednow.com have been ignored. Bottom line, they'll try to funnel as much money as they can get from your credit card once they get your number so beware!”
The comment on overbilling worried me so I checked out my previous emails. When I joined I received an email from getmarriednow:
Please note that if you paid by credit card or online check, you will only be billed three more monthly installments for your membership. Some IBill receipts may state otherwise but please disregard.
However I found that in fact this does not happen. Ibill keeps billing you every month forever until you cancel. My one year membership turns out to be in fact apparently only for four months. Their statement “If you enroll in our agency you will be able to try our service for a Full-Year” is in fact a lie and is a devious and unethical way of getting your credit card number and making out you have a recurring membership every four months.
And you cannot cancel by writing to getmarriednow, you must cancel directly with Ibill. When I wrote to getmarriednow telling them I did not want to use their service anymore and to send me my money back they didn’t notify Ibill and Ibill still kept charging me.
A further concern is getmarrieds promise of unlimited emails.
“Free email delivery with our Platinum Membership. This assures you that each girl you write gets her email delivered directly to her. She will also be allowed to write you back from our offices for immediate feedback”
“When you join our agency we do live, in person database searches for you - finding dozens of ladies that meet your specific criteria. Within a few days of joining you will be introduced to many gorgeous ladies that are interested in getting to know you better for possible marriage”
“With our e-mail service you can write just one general letter describing yourself and what you want in a woman. We will send that one letter to the women you choose, even all 2000+ if you want, and we will do it within 24 hours of your sending it to our U.S. office (via mail, fax, ore-mail). We will translate it for you at no charge and it will be presented to all of your choices”
A reference states: “Your service works! I ordered your Platinum level service and had my profile sent to the ladies that met my criteria. Less than a week later I had over 100 responses, and within a month I had heard back from 214 women! “
A warning here to men who buy the Platinum service and get a lot of so called ‘PERSONAL’ responses back from the ladies. It is common among the agencies to have the ladies prewrite their letters to send back to men. The letters you receive from ladies are in fact FORM letters which the ladies do not even realise have been sent to you. The ladies are not even aware of your existence! The men think they are getting a personal email addressed just to them from 100’s of ladies but in fact these are letters that are being sent to all the men. An easy way to tell is by asking them to answer specific questions about themselves. You will find most probably that the ladies do not answer these questions you have asked because the ladies never even see your letters, at least not until you narrow your choice down to 2 or 4 ladies and start writing regularly. Another thing to watch out for is that they will charge you a large amount of money for translation fees which they don’t state up front on the website.
If anyone has similar stories about getmarriednow please email me at jkfnz@hotmail.com. If there are enough people who have been found to be duped by this website it may be worth getting a class action law suit going on this agency. It needs to be shut down as soon as possible in my viewpoint.

John - thank you for your note. The video catalogue info. refers to the website. The offices do not have video libraries for me to look at. They send videos to the U.S. and we put them on the web. Each office does charge for additional services they provide such as car/driver, personal translator, flat rental, etc. It is not feasible that all of these offices could operate with no additional fees after a client pays $160 to join.Still, these fees are very small and normally do not amount to more than $100 or so over many months. I joined Getmarriednow.com in January with the understanding that all your ladies on your database were current and available. I wanted to join as I knew I would be in Kherson in late January/February.
However after being in Kherson Ukraine for the past 3 months I have come to the conclusion that your service is just about useless.
I picked out at least 80 girls that I wanted to meet from your website and I got my friends to either ring them or telegram them that I wished to see them.
There were many girls on this list that were unavailable for the following reasons: [see below for list of some of these girls]
[1] they were already married and had in fact been married for over 6 months... - these girls should not be listed on your database - your database is clearly not up to date
[2] they did not want to be part of your agency anymore and did not want to part of your agency for at least 6 months or more - these girls should not be listed on your database - your database is clearly not up to date
[3] some of them had in fact did not even know your name getmarriednow.com or could not even remember your agency name in Kherson - they did not want to meet me because they were suspicious of not knowing about being part of these agencies... these girls should not be on your website
[4] some of them now only deal exclusively with other agencies - they refused to meet anyone referred from your agency - they should not be on your website

Before I went to Kherson I thought that I would get help from your agency there. However they refused to help me unless I paid them further money even though I was already a gold member. First $30 for looking through catalogues [see email below] and then more money for contacting ladies that I already had the contact information for.

Further your statements raises further questions over your dubious methods of advertising:

Further not only did I get my friend to try and contact these ladies but also a registered translator with another agency “Kherson Girls” tried to do it as well and confirmed back to the agency “Kherson Girls” that many of these girls were unavailable because they were married or not interested.

I suggest you check out these names and numbers I listed for you. It would probably help your business in the future before you upset too many other men.

You can also search the web and find people complaining about Walmart, GM, United Airlines, or just about any company. We have served over 1000 men in the past 6+ years, have over 600 marriages, and over 50 children born from those marriages. We deal with real people, and not all will be happy. I enrolled in getmarriednow website on 1 Jan for a gold membership costing 4 monthly payments of $49.95.
This was confirmed by the email I received on joining from help@getmarriednow.com which stated:
"Please note that if you paid by credit card or online check, you will only be billed three more monthly installments for your membership. Some IBill receipts may state otherwise but please disregard."
However Ibl have charged me five times instead of four times on these dates:
1/1, 3/2, 5/3, 4/4 and 4/5
This is one extra charge of $49.95 that they should not have charged me for.
According to the getmarriednow.com website this 4 monthly payment for Gold Service was valid for one year:

No further payments other than my initial gold membership were authorised by me, Nowhere on the website does it say that billing will automatically be continued.
If you have proof that I authorised further payments then please send it to me.
Further on 19/4 I sent an email to help@getmarried.com cancelling my membership asking for my money back as I was severely disappointed because their service was not only bad but also proved themselves as very unethical. [see attached messages]
I should definitely not be charged anything more.
Please can you inform VISA to cancel this charge to my statement and confirm back to me when this is done.

Marina has a wonderful personality -- always cheerful, very optimistic, well educated, a great conversationalist -- she's terrific in every way. I asked her to marry me, she agreed, and after the paperwork went through she came to America. I asked her if we could go to Las Vegas for our wedding and honeymoon, and she said, "Oh Steve, you have read my dreams." So we were married there and had such a wonderful time. Now, I call her my "Dousha Maya" (that means "My Soul"in Russian) and tell her "Ya lublu tibya - ochen ochen!" (I love you - too much too much!). Marina is very happy here in the US, and is enjoying all of the places we visit. Every day with Marina makes me happy, and I can't wait to get home from work so that I can be with her. I remember a little over a year ago I set out to find that special woman to share my life with. Ohio is a long way from the Ukraine but I was looking for someone very special. A short ride to me by cab after being in the air for almost 17 hours and I was in Kherson. WOW it was wonderful to see the town the ladies had wrote about. I met with you with a short time later at the apartment you had rented for me. I remember your words(would like to rest or meet the ladies)My reply was I'm ready to meet the ladies. That night I meet Natalie for dinner. She was truly wonderful and I knew I had found my special lady that night. Over the next week myself Natalie and you Helen had a wonderful time along with Natalie's 6 year old daughter Lera. As you well know before I left Kherson I asked Natalie to marry me and come to America. Well it's now January 15,2004 and Natalie and I were married on August 30,2003. It has been truly wonderful and I have found the very special lady.Our frist Christmas and New Year's together as a family was very special for us all. When I met Marina in Kherson for the first time, I was stunned. She was even more beautiful than her photos, as lovely as any magazine model. Everyday I learned new things about her. Marina has a wonderful personality -- always cheerful, very optimistic, well educated, a great conversationalist -- she's terrific in every way. I asked her to marry me, she agreed, and after the paperwork went through she came to America. I asked her if we could go to Las Vegas for our wedding and honeymoon, and she said, "Oh Steve, you have read my dreams." So we were married there and had such a wonderful time. Now, I call her my "Dousha Maya" (that means "My Soul"in Russian) and tell her "Ya lublu tibya - ochen ochen!" (I love you - too much too much!). Marina is very happy here in the US, and is enjoying all of the places we visit. Every day with Marina makes me happy, and I can't wait to get home from work so that I can be with her. Now we are a family, and I hope that soon we will have some children.
