I absolutely could not ever, ever live without cable modem now that I've had it for a while. At first I thought it was a bit spendy, at about two times what it costs for dial-up access, but if you've never tried it, I'll tell you that you will be absolutely hooked after a few days (if not sooner). It is so incredibly fast that I can download multi-megabyte files in literally seconds. It is really amazing, and I'll never go back to the old way again!
