Crumbs of The Mind Conversation words that are but sound waves, nothing but electrons in space travelling between us and yet we understand and we pretend that it is really our talking as if we were together in the same space then suddenly, silence is all we hear, filled at first with a small piece of nothing as I search my thoughts for what next, finding only folly in any attempt to anticipate that to come in the next part of now my heart beats faster as I begin to hear the beating of your heart near to mine, faint at first, and feel myself lost from where I was, now hurled through space to beside you to look into your eyes I smile one of those funny smiles of quiet knowing in our minds and mind and you smile back, across the miles, yet here as I am there and as we leave electrons and sound waves behind us what could there be left to say now with voices and sound and some miracle of technology that cannot better be said with the silent whispering of my soul to yours as I look into your eyes across the miles
